Emma's Letters from Jerry

Back to Emma's Office

Emma's interview with Jerry from last year

Dear Emma,

I am so glad you brought John to visit me. It has lifted a great weight off my conscience to be able to tell him the truth about me and his mum, and to tell him who I think his granddad was. Now that he knows, I hope he’ll forgive me for not being straight with him all these years. I’d like it if we could be mates.

Any luck with the other matter? I thought about it some more after you left. I do remember Basil Hall talking about things that he’d hidden away. No telling what you’ll find. I’d like to be able to prove to John that what I told him about his granddad is true. Maybe there’s something in there that would help. I wish I could be of more use, but I never could figure how the thing worked.

My regards to Frank and Martin. I’m going to write to Shirley tonight and ask her to forgive me for telling John the truth. It’s best that it's all out now.

Yours sincerely,
Jerry (Gerald Anderson)
